D2D Sneak Preview

RECYCLED FASHIONS.
RENEWED LIVES.

Donated clothes transformed into one-of-a-kind fashion and home décor, auctioned to benefit those suffering from poverty, homelessness and domestic violence. The St. Vincent De Paul Society started a yearly design event where designers from the bay area transform donated clothing into a new garment that will be auctioned off at their yearly event and all proceeds go to helping people suffering from poverty, homelessness, and domestic violence. I was so excited to be a part of this amazing event.
Please visit their site to learn more http://www.discardedtodivine.org/

The De Young Museum sponsors the event and hosts a preview for the public to come and see all the pieces for free with music and other entertainment.
It was such a blast!

This is my dress I designed for the event. I deconstructed a pant suit and silk jacquard jacket to make my dress. I also used some beads from another blouse I got from goodwill for the bead work I did on the neckline.

My friend Lauren from school came with me and Brady to the event. We had so much fun looking at all the great garments.

Chickadee

I LOVE Easter! I love the colors, the egg dying, the Easter egg hunts, the candy, and making an Easter dinner! Brady knows how much I love Easter and surprised me with my very own egg hunt around our house. The Easter Bunny dropped off this cute basket full with yummy treats! I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter's:)

Easter isn't complete without candy!
Peeps, chocolate marshmallow bunnies, pez, milk chocolate chicks, jelly beans, and carmel chocolate eggs.

We were so lucky to have such great friends over for dinner. The Kents and Browings came over for Easter Dinner.

I had fun making spring flower napkin rings and chocolate covered strawberries.

The table looked so festive with beautiful flowers that Brady bought me and the cute flower salt and pepper shakers that my dad bought me added the perfect finishing touches.

I love that strawberries are in season! I made a yummy fruit pizza for dessert.

We had such a fun time watching Presley go on her mini Easter egg hunt.

She did such a great job finding all the eggs.

Colin and Jamie just had their second little girl.
Maybelle Kent
She is so adorable and sweet!
