Rischel's Shower

This past weekend Diana and I threw a baby shower for our friend Rischel. It was so fun to get together with friends, snack on delicious food, catch up, and open gifts.
Thanks for everyone who could make it. We are so excited for Rischel!

I fell in love with these invitations and was just waiting for the opportunity to make them. I made some alterations of my own and loved the way they turned out!

For the Thank You favors I made mini french bread and fresh strawberry jam.
YUM!
First time making freezer jam. I couldn't believe how much SUGAR the recipe called for.

For the game prizes we picked up some adorable gift cards from Anthropologie.

I loved the gray, white, tan, and hint of pink color scheme.

Thanks to Diana, Jon, and Brady for cutting out all of the cute flags, tags, and hearts!

I came across these little sweets and couldn't resist making them for the shower.
DELISH!

Mini Cadbury Eggs
So happy it's Easter time:)

Tasty Croissant Sandwiches

Anthropologie has the cutest gift boxes ever! I thought it would great to mix them in with my tiered stands for the table.

Diana made the most amazing fruit kabob displays!
I LOVE fresh fruit!

1. Eat

2. Games
We divided the guests into 3 groups and played baby pictionary. This was my first time playing this game at a shower and it turned out great! All the words were geared toward baby things.
So many artists:)

Brady's 27th Birthday

This past Saturday was Brady's 27th Birthday! I can't believe how old we are getting;)
The weather was absolutely beautiful. We celebrated all weekend long with food, friends, and presents.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!

The happy birthday banner I made

Brady had to spend most of his birthday at school:(
He was a coordinator for Give Kids A Smile Day. He was at school from 7am to 5pm.
When he got home we finally got to start celebrating.

Thanks for all the cute cards and gifts that were sent!

I was so worried he wouldn't like them!

We went downtown to eat dinner at the Slanted Door. It's a delicious Vietnamese food restaurant.
We were trying so hard to get a picture that would show the Bay Bridge in the background.

The restaurant is in the ferry building down on the wharf.

We love the food but the dessert is why we come or at least why I come:)

The Meyer Lemon Meringue Tart
is a little piece of heaven!

Since Brady was at school most of the day on Saturday we had a little party on Sunday night with some friends.

Brady has a couple of favorite desserts that he loves. So this year I made most of his favorites into cupcakes.

Brady's favorite ice cream is cookies n' cream
These are milk chocolate cupcakes with cookies n' cream frosting and a mini Oreo topping

Brady's LOVES strawberry shortcake!
So I made these little treats out of angle food cake, topped with fresh strawberries and home made whipped cream frosting

Lemon squares are other favorite.
I made these cupcakes with lemon cake mix, whipped cream frosting, and lemon zest

Rice Krispies Treats:)
I wasn't sure how to make these into cupcake so I stuck with the originals.

Thanks to everyone who came!

This is sweet little Maybelle Kent who took her first steps at our house!
Such a cutie!
