My Friend Heather Joy

My friend Heather came to visit me a couple of weeks ago. It was so great to see her and go sight seeing around San Fran.
Thanks for coming Heath!

Heather and the Heart of San Francisco
We went to a Giants game while Heather was here. It was snuggie give away night. We tried our best to get one, but 20,000 snuggies were given away in 20 minutes. We'll try again next year.

The weather was so amazing while Heather was here. We thought it would be fun to go and visit the Farmer's Market at the Embarcadero.

On the other side of the street near the Embarcadero they have a huge court yard with an art walk and an amazing fountain.

They were giving free drum lessons in the court yard.

After the Farmer's Market we walked over to Fisherman's Wharf.

Then we drove over to see beautiful Lombard Street!

Sunday after church we went into Golden Gate Park and walked around Stow Lake.

I can't wait until the paddle boats are out:)

San Fran is such a beautiful city! We love having visitors so we can visit all the amazing places around the city. Thanks again for coming out Heather.
Miss ya!

D2D Sneak Preview

RECYCLED FASHIONS.
RENEWED LIVES.

Donated clothes transformed into one-of-a-kind fashion and home décor, auctioned to benefit those suffering from poverty, homelessness and domestic violence. The St. Vincent De Paul Society started a yearly design event where designers from the bay area transform donated clothing into a new garment that will be auctioned off at their yearly event and all proceeds go to helping people suffering from poverty, homelessness, and domestic violence. I was so excited to be a part of this amazing event.
Please visit their site to learn more http://www.discardedtodivine.org/

The De Young Museum sponsors the event and hosts a preview for the public to come and see all the pieces for free with music and other entertainment.
It was such a blast!

This is my dress I designed for the event. I deconstructed a pant suit and silk jacquard jacket to make my dress. I also used some beads from another blouse I got from goodwill for the bead work I did on the neckline.

My friend Lauren from school came with me and Brady to the event. We had so much fun looking at all the great garments.
